Itinerary – Barcelona, Dalí Route and Medieval Towns

Day 1 • Barcelona
Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel in a private minivan. Accommodation.

Day 2 • Barcelona
Breakfast. In the morning, visit the city. We will begin the visit by Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter with the Cathedral (entrance included), the Plaza del Rey with important Gothic buildings such as the Saló del Tinell, the Chapel of Santa Ágata and the Palau del Lloctinent, next to the History Museum from the city. Then we will visit Pueblo Español (entrance included).

Day 3 • Barcelona / Cavas Codorníu / Montserrat / Barcelona
Breakfast. Departure to the Alto Penedés region, a region that is closely linked to cava. Visit of the Codorníu wineries where we will admire the modernist architectural complex, the gardens, the bottling room and the cellars, ending with a tasting of this exquisite cava. Then departure to Montserrat. In its Royal Basilica is the Virgen Moreneta, a Romanesque carving from the 12th century. Return to Barcelona.

Day 4 • Barcelona / Rupit / Castelfollit de la Roca / Besalú / Girona
Breakfast. Departure for a tour of beautiful medieval towns. First we will arrive at Rupit, where we will walk through its cobbled streets flanked by 16th century houses, its suspension bridge and the Baroque Church of San Miquel.
On the way to Besalú we will pass through Castelfollit de la Roca, a small town hanging on a basalt wall that looks out over the precipice. Arrival in Besalú, declared a national historical-artistic site for its great architectural value. Then departure to Girona and visit the primitive wall, the Cathedral, of Romanesque origin, and the Capuchin convent that houses the Arab Baths. Accommodation.

Day 5 • Girona / Figueras / Cadaqués / Barcelona
Breakfast. Departure to Figueras and Cadaqués to delve into the fascinating world of Salvador Dalí. In Figueras we will visit the Dalí Theatre-Museum, considered the last great work of Salvador Dalí. In Cadaqués we will visit the Salvador Dalí House-Museum. Then departure to Barcelona. Accommodation.

Day 6 • Barcelona
Breakfast. In the morning, visit Gaudí’s works such as the Sagrada Familia, one of the most universal signs of identity of the city and the country, Park Güell, declared an artistic monument and World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the houses of Lleó Morera, Ametler, Batlló and Milá, also known as La Pedrera. Free afternoon.

Day 7 • Barcelona
Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the airport in a private minivan.
