Itinerary – Tuscany; Art and Gastronomy

Day 1 • Florence
Arrival at Florence airport. Transfer in private minivan with driver to the hotel. Rest of the day free. Accommodation.

Day 2 • Florence
Breakfast. In the morning, guided walking tour of Florence (without tickets).
The cult of beauty is in every corner of this city: marvelous buildings, pretty squares and extraordinary landscapes harmoniously mixed with Tuscan traditions, Piazza della Signoria, with the immense Tower of the Old Palace, the famous Uffizi Museum and the Old Bridge. Free afternoon to walk around this beautiful city. Accommodation.

Day 3 • Florence / Lucca and Pisa / Florence
Breakfast. Departure by private minivan to Lucca and visit this city with a local guide. The city preserves the charms of the old Italian towns: the labyrinth of its medieval streets or the charming Romanesque churches. We will pass through Piazza San Michele in Foro, Piazza Napoleón, Cathedral of San Martino, Piazza Anfiteatro, Torre Guinigi and Basilica of San Frediano. Departure to Pisa and tour of the city with a local guide. We will see the Plaza de los Milagros, the Baptistery, the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower (exterior) and the Monumental Cemetery.
Return to Florence and accommodation.

Day 4 • / Siena and San Gimignano / Florence
Breakfast. Departure by private minivan to Siena. Visit with a local guide to this city that has preserved its medieval appearance and atmosphere over the centuries, such as the famous Piazza del Campo and the Torre del Mangia. We will pass by the Basilica of San Domenico, the Monte dei Paschi Palace (the oldest bank in Europe), the Cathedral, the Piccolomini Bookstore and Tolomei Square. Departure to San Gimignano and visit with a local guide of this city rich in culture and history where the highlights are: the San Giovanni Gate, Cisterna Square, Collegiate Church Square, Podestà Palace, San Agostino Church and Salvucchi Tower.
Return to Florence and accommodation.

Day 5 • Florence / Chianti Region, Montepulciano and Pienza / Florence
Breakfast. Departure by private minivan to the Chianti Region, an area of forests, vineyards and charming castles. We will make a stop to visit Greve in Chianti and the beautiful village of Montefioralle. Continuation to the Verrazzano Castle where we will have lunch with gastronomic specialties and visit the historic cellars with a tasting of some of their wines.
Then departure to Pienza, a small medieval town declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO where we will make a 1-hour visit. Continue to Montepulciano, considered one of the most characteristic and best preserved medieval towns in the area. 1 hour tour to see the 15th century walls, buildings and palaces. Return to Florence and accommodation.

Day 6 • Florence
Breakfast. Transfer by private minivan with driver to Florence airport.
