DAY 01  – Madrid 

Private transfer from the airport to the hotel.

DAY 02 – Madrid

In the morning, departure from the hotel for a 4-hour panoramic visit. On this visit we will be able to contemplate the various contrasts that Madrid offers its visitors; from the Madrid of the Bourbons, Austrias, Elizabethan and Contemporary to the Barrio de la Morería, with its traditional flavor, its inns and buildings of old Madrid; the elegant squares of Oriente, España, Puerta del Sol, Cibeles, Neptuno, Atocha, Puerta de Alcalá, Colón; the wide avenues of Gran Vía, Calle Alcalá, the stately Parque del Retiro and the Plaza de Toros.

At the end of the visit, transfer to the restaurant, where we will taste an excellent paella . This restaurant is an exponent of classic popular Spanish cuisine that has maintained the values ​​and culinary legacy of the recipes of yesteryear for three generations. In the elaboration of their rice dishes and paellas, top quality raw materials are used and the star ingredient of the house, bomba rice with DO Valencia.

At the end of lunch transfer to the hotel.

DAY 03 – Madrid

In the morning departure from the hotel to visit the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and a panoramic view of “Modern Madrid”. A visit to the stadium will allow them to discover, from the inside, the spectacular skin change of a great icon. They will be able to see, first-hand, how the Santiago Bernabéu of the 21st century is being transformed. The experience continues with a journey through the largest collection of objects and trophies from the “best club of the 20th century”. We will discover the history of Real Madrid through its legends, yesterday and today, and its titles. We will also enjoy a panoramic view of the stadium from the viewpoint located in the 2nd amphitheater.

Next we will take a tour of the most modern Madrid and the most significant works of contemporary architecture. We will see the area where the five skyscrapers of the city, kings of the Madrid skyline, are erected; Plaza de Castilla, where the two KIO Towers are located, another of the best-known elements of the capital’s skyline. The two buildings, which receive the official name of “Gateway to Europe”, can hardly go unnoticed due to their height (115 meters) or their architecture: two leaning towers, symmetrical with respect to the axis of Paseo de la Castellana, forming a a kind of futuristic door that defies the laws of gravity.

Transfer to a famous Inn for lunch. This inn is very famous in Madrid, a meeting place for politicians, athletes, businessmen and personalities from the world of acting. The attention it offers is impeccable, just like its spaces, and the close treatment given by its staff invites you to enjoy the menu, made with the best products. It offers traditional haute cuisine from the Basque Country, in a traditionally decorated inn from the north.

DAY 04 – Madrid – Avila – Segovia – Madrid

In the morning departure from the hotel to Avila . Arrival and visit of the city (with entrance included to the Cathedral and Church of Santa Teresa). The walls are the unequivocal image associated with the city of Avila and were the fundamental asset for UNESCO to include the city on the World Heritage List in 1985, together with the Romanesque churches. Undoubtedly, this defensive enclosure that has a perimeter of 2,516 m, with 87 towers or cubes and 9 gates is impressive, being considered the best preserved urban walled enclosure in the world. The Cathedral of Ávila is projected as a temple and fortress, its apse, known as cimorro and entested in the wall, being the most robust cube of the eastern canvas. Considered the first Gothic cathedral in Spain, it stands on the remains of a primitive building dedicated to El Salvador. The church of Santa Teresa, built on the birthplace of Teresa de Cepeda y Ahumada, forms a complex with the Carmelite convent.

At the end of the visit, departure to Segovia and lunch in an emblematic restaurant where we will taste the famous Segovian suckling pig. The family of the Mayor Innkeeper of Castilla has combined the tradition learned over decades, with the highest technological innovations, to offer all its guests a luxurious and calm environment.

Next we will visit Segovia, with tickets included to the Cathedral and the Alcázar. Segovia was an important military center in Roman times, as evidenced by the construction of its magnificent Aqueduct. A city chosen by some kings of Castile as their residence, it preserves one of the most notable medieval complexes in Spain. During the tour, you will visit: The Cathedral, the last Gothic cathedral built in Spain, considered for its elegance “The Lady of the Spanish Cathedrals” and the Alcázar, the most spectacular castle in the country with its artillery museum.

Return to Madrid and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 05 – Madrid – Salamanca – Madrid 

 

Departure from the hotel to Salamanca. Arrival and visit of the city, including entrance fees to the University and the Cathedrals. Salamanca was declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO. It is known for having the oldest University in Spain, and one of the oldest in Europe. The other element that makes it unique is the charm of its historic center, where its architectural purity has been preserved intact. We will visit its famous University . From the Patio de las Escuelas Mayores we will discover the enigmas hidden in its  Plateresque façade. Inside, we will visit the old classrooms, such as that of Fray Luis de León, the Chapel or its magnificent library. We will continue towards the Plaza de Anaya to start the visit inside the two Cathedrals:  the New and the Old . While we make an exhaustive tour of the enclosure, admiring its treasures and main rooms, we will discover the history, art and curiosities of these monuments.

At the end of the visit, lunch at the flagship restaurant of Salamanca. Here the quality is beyond doubt with a fish that brings you from the market to the table and some Iberian ham from its 3 forks.

Return to Madrid and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 06 – Madrid – Aranjuez – Chinchón – Madrid

Departure from the hotel to Aranjuez. Arrival and visit with tickets included to the Palace. An old town declared a Historic-Artistic Site, royal palaces and gardens on the banks of the Tagus, make up the layout of Aranjuez. Its Palace has its origins in a recreational estate, achieving its monumental appearance in the reign of Felipe II, although its current appearance reaches it after the reform of Carlos III, who added a large parade ground. The Herrerian-style Palace. The façade stands out, which is adorned with the statues of the three kings who took part in its construction. Of paramount importance for its beauty, the staircase with a rococo-style balustrade, the work of Bonavía and the Porcelain Room, whose walls are covered with this material.

 

Then departure to Chinchón. Its beautiful medieval square is the most emblematic monument of Chinchón. Irregular in plan and made up of two- and three-story-high houses with continuous balconies, it has been and is the scene of multiple activities. In addition to its characteristic Plaza Mayor, with its wooden balconies and linteled galleries, the church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (1534-1626) stands out, which was looted and burned by Napoleonic troops in 1808. The current church was finished in rebuild in 1828 and is a mix of Gothic, Plateresque, Renaissance and Baroque styles.

At the end of the visit, lunch in a restaurant is classified as “tourist interest”, and its building, almost three hundred years old, is protected by the Historical-Artistic Heritage. The Restaurant-Museum is located in an old farmhouse from the end of the 18th century, whose main activity was the production of wine and oil. Different varieties of cereals were also stored for later sale. This house had, therefore, numerous rooms for mills, presses, cellars, caves, grain stores and housing, as well as a large number of farms, mainly vineyards and olive groves.

Return to Madrid and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 07 – Madrid – El Escorial – Madrid

Departure from the hotel to El Escorial.   Arrival and visit of its impressive Monastery . This monastery gave rise to Herrerian architecture, by the hand of its creator Juan de Herrera. It is declared a World Heritage Site. Felipe II used this Royal Site as a Monastery and Royal Pantheon, becoming the symbol of the greatness of the Spanish Empire. You will visit: Royal Palace, Pantheon of Kings, Pantheon of Infants, Chapter Houses and Basilica.

At the end of the visit return to Madrid.

At night, transfer by private bus with assistance to one of the most renowned Flamenco Tablaos in the city to have dinner and attend the Flamenco show . Located in a Mansion from the 18th century, Manila shawls and bullfighting motifs decorate this place. Important sculptors such as Manuel Sanguino, who also sculpted the doors of the Almudena Cathedral, gave life to many of the corners of this house. The most important artists have passed and continue to pass through his stage and his show, with two 90-minute shows each day, will delight all who see it. One dancer, five dancers, three guitarists, three singers, an authentic “Cuadro Flamenco” that makes whoever sees it feel the spell and the flamenco feeling.

DAY 08 – Madrid
